Sub domain blogs are now sucked into the main site news feed…if any sub domain authors would like to opt out simply change your blog status to private (or send me an email and we can figure out some other fix)
Whoa! That thing scared me when I visited this site after making my blog post. Spooky!
:)
Any chance of removing it again? This *sucks*
I… Kinda agree. If /every/ blog post is added to the main site news feed, it’ll get very cluttered.
Here’s an idea. Possibly you could make it so that only blog posts with a “DCNews” tag are added. That way if I decide to announce the release of a new app or game, I can add that tag and it’ll be announced on the main feed, but if I post an absolutely non-newsworthy “I’m not dead yet” post on my blog it can be excluded from the main feed.
Of course I have no idea what technical aspects that would involve but it’s an idea. :P
Yeah… That could be good. I don’t wanna announce about my death on the main site.
If you are using a WP plugin for this, it can be modified as per what M. Lucanius has mentioned. Or the WPMU forums can always help…
there is no plugin and i plan on adding tag support as well as defaulting the sub posts view to colapsed. as for clutter you are smoking crack. post per day is still well under one without filtering
i also need to look at rss feeds and proper category support…wordpress is a crap pile internally so this was non-trivial (however adding the mentioned features now should be)
hmm bit off on my post per day…iphone was filtering. priority is to add filtering for sub blogs which is easy (but still torn on if i should default the posts to public or private)
