Wntrmute has been working on a nice web installer for some
time and a public version is finally available. It allows
you to select by component devkits for NDS, GBA, Gamecube,
and PSP. This includes both the compilers and the homebrew
libraries.

Everything is auto-updating including the installer itself
which will hopefully reduce the amount of people developing
on outdated libraries and tools.

I gave the installer a try myself and only had two issues.
The first was that the download failed about 20 seconds
in. Switching mirrors fixed that one. The other was an
issue with one of the tools not installing 100%
(Programmers notepad tools schema xml file did not copy
over although the IDE still seemed very usable). Should be
of great use to all of us Windows developers. Great work
Wntrmute.

My main news-poster has abandoned me for some sort of
vacation. Apparently his “personal life” is somehow more
important than doing my job for me. What this means to you
is news probably wont be so up-to-date for next few days as
I am pretty lazy about posting news.
